I have been trying to synchronize my contacts between my laptop, PDA and phone, for a day now. Yes, it took me one whole day, because the Palm T|X and Outlook would either create duplicates for some contacts or would completely mess up in updating the data correctly.

After a few tries, and a lot of frustration, the job was done. So it was now time to sync the contacts between Outlook and my mobile phone. So the same story repeats itself. Duplicates were created, some entries had to be manually fixed and so on.

I wish there was a good tool and a common protocol for all vendors/publishers to follow on syncing data between devices. As for a couple of tips on syncing: 1) backup your data before starting the syncing task, 2) keep the device number to a minimum. :)
