ManyBooks.net easy mobile ebooks

ManyBooks.net is a great way to get Ebooks onto your Midp2.0 compatible mobile phone. It doesn't overcome the problem of JAR files not being able to source content from external files, but instead gets around it. It is a repository of ebooks, mostly drawn from Project Guttenburg, but made available in multiple formats. One of which is JAR files. So you can download books directly to your  phone.

There are other projects out there that allow you to read text files on your mobile phone, such as TinyBook and YuetReader but these require a lot more fussing about and unzping the jar file, splitting the book into managebale size chunks and zipping the junks and the associated classes from the JAR file back up and putting it onto your phone again.

These are great, especially YuetReader, but I would only really use them for things that you couldn't get from ManyBooks.
ManyBooks makes this process a lot easier because they have done all the work and you dont have to wory about splitting books into chapters to get around memory constraints that programs like YuetReader have.

ManyBooks also has an associated site for viewing from your mobile phone, it is MNYBKS.NET and it is a cut down simple version of the page to allow easier viewing from your mobile.
